Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that everyone is keeping safe and well at this time. I am writing to advise you of the current state of information regarding Term 3 schooling at Kilmore Primary School. As mentioned in an email earlier this week, the school holiday period has been extended for students within the Mitchell Shire and the metropolitan Melbourne area.

During this extended holiday period, there will be five pupil-free days from Monday 13th to Friday 17th July. We have been advised that teachers and staff will use these days to prepare for a possible transition to remote learning.

Our school will provide a care and supervision program for students who cannot be cared for at home. We are awaiting advice from the Department of Education about the eligibility criteria and booking process for this program. As soon as this advice has been provided to me, I will make it available to you.

As a school, we are committed to providing you with the most up to date advice available to us. As soon as the Department of Education provides me with further advice, I will make that advice available to you. As we learned during Term 2, shortened timelines and patient waiting upon advice are part of our "new normal."

I will be in touch again in the near future.

Best wishes and stay safe and well,

Neil O'Sullivan
