Grade 6 Graduation

30th October 2020

Dear Parents/Caregivers

Although 2020 has been an exceptional year in your child’s life, Kilmore Primary School wish to advise that our Grade 6 Graduation will certainly be celebrated, albeit differently to how we had anticipated.

The Grade 6 Graduation will take place in the stadium with students and staff, on Tuesday 15th December from 6:00pm -7:30pm. Students should arrive at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start.

Each student will be required to be signed in and out by an adult.

A virtual invitation will be extended for family members to ensure the inclusion of our students’ loved ones.

As of 12th November the graduates are invited to participate in weekly dance lessons, in preparation for a graduation performance under the tuition of STOMP Dance Company. These Dance sessions will take place in the school stadium within school hours. The cost of these sessions is $15.00 in total per child.

Students are also invited to purchase a Signature Graduation Bear to keep as a memento of this special occasion. The Graduation Bear is approximately 15 cm high and costs $15.00. It is a well stitched, sturdy bear and will sit upright on a bed, chair or shelf. The bears are white and students often have their teachers and friends sign them as a keepsake of their time at primary school.

Please refer to your Compass parent portal to provide parent consent and payment towards the Stomp dance performance and/or to purchase a signature graduation bear.

*In Compass you will need to go to the ‘Events’ section and accept the event, then you will be able to proceed through the purchasing process.*

(Please note that all payments noted above need to be completed by Monday 30th November 2020.)

As part of this celebration we are requesting that each child bring in a prep/junior year photo by Thursday 12th November 2020.

We thank you for your ongoing support in what has been a particularly challenging year. Please direct any queries to a member of the Grade 6 teaching team.
